To make life simple and easy for you, when a single charge is created on the lease, it automatically shows up in your renter's tenant portal, allowing them to pay the charge.
We’ll email your tenant:
6 days before - first email notice sent
3 days before - second reminder email sent
Due date - due today email sent
3 days after - past due email sent
5 days after - past due email sent
Here are what the reminder emails look like:
New Charge Email:
Subject Line: New charge from [Landlord's Name]
When a new one-time charge is created, this is the email that will be sent to your tenants.
General Reminder:
Subject Line: Reminder: Charge from [Landlord's Name]
This is the general reminder sent to your tenants for their monthly charge. This will be the email sent 6 and 3 days before the charge is due.
Payment Due Today:
Subject Line: Due Today! Charge from [Landlord's Name]
This is the email your tenants will receive on the due date of the charge.
Past Due Reminder:
Subject Line: Your Payment is Past Due!
This is the email your tenants will receive when their payment is late. They will receive this email 3 and 5 days after the charge is due.
💡 TurboTip: If your tenant pays you outside of the platform, they will keep receiving reminder emails until the charge is recorded as paid in your TurboTenant account. You will want to record an offline payment for the charge as soon as you can so they do not receive these reminder emails when they have already paid.

A: No, if a charge is paid before the due date, they will no longer receive reminder emails.
