What are Tenant Check-ins?

Check-ins are great! They allow your tenant the ability to let you know how they are doing in their rental. When a tenant submits their monthly rent payment, a new screen will appear and ask them how they are doing. It will also let add additional comments in a message field.

Along with adding comments to their check-in, they can submit a maintenance request as well to address any issues that may need to be fixed or replaced in their rental. You can follow up with your tenants and their check-in by messaging them directly from your landlord portal.

Benefits of a Tenant Check-in

It allows you to gauge where your tenant is at within their rental, address any issues that may arise, as well as receive feedback from your renters. It also allows them an opportunity to submit a maintenance request. By addressing issues before they become major problems, you can keep your tenants happy within their rental.

How do I Disable Check-ins?

While you're not able to disable Tenant Check-ins directly from your landlord portal, you can accomplish this by reaching out to the TurboTenant Customer Support Team.

TurboTip - If you decide that you want to disable tenant check-ins, renters will still be able to submit maintenance requests from within their portal.
