This article covers how to upload your own lease agreement and make it available for you and your tenant to view. Take the following steps to upload your own lease:
TurboTenant provides a robust platform for landlords to upload, manage, and sign custom lease agreements. This feature offers flexibility to use custom documents instead of system-generated versions, making it easier to meet specific requirements.
Step 1- Navigate to your lease profile.
You can do that by selecting the Leases tab on the left-hand toolbar.
Step 2 - Select the lease profile you want to upload your lease agreement to
š” TurboTip: If you do not have the lease profile created yet, you can select "Add New" within the Leases tab!
Step 3: Upload Your Lease
At the bottom of the lease profile, you will see four options:
Uploading a Lease You Already Have
If your lease already includes all required signatures and you simply want to share it with your tenant, choose Upload Document.
You can drag and drop your file or click to upload, then select Share.
Once uploaded, both you and your tenants can view the document anytime in your portals.
Requesting Electronic Signatures
If you still need signatures, select Request Electronic Signature. This option guides you through uploading your document and sending it for signing.
Hereās how it works:
Upload your lease.
TurboTenant sends an email to your tenant to review and sign electronically.
After the tenant signs, the document is routed back to you for the final signature.
Documents are sent sequentially to each signer, ensuring a streamlined process where the landlord is the last to review and sign.
Once all signatures are collected, the signed lease will be available for both parties in their portals. Click on the following link to view a short video walk-through that reviews the steps on how to complete the E-Sign process.
E-Sign is currently only available with our Premium Plan Subscription. To get access to e-sign and so much more, you can sign up below:
