How do I turn off or on the pre-screener and add custom questions to it?

How to turn off the pre-screener:

To turn off the pre-screener, you'll want to take the following steps in your TurboTenant account:

1. On the bottom left corner of your dashboard, click on the Account tab, then click Settings

2. Click on Pre-Screener on the top menu

3. Click on Turn Off Auto Pre-Screener

Turning off the pre-screener will no longer automatically send a pre-screener to leads that express interest in your rentals on third-party listing sites. However, you can still manually send leads to the pre-screener within the Leads tab.


How to turn on the pre-screener:

The pre-screener is enabled by default when you are actively marketing a rental property. If you turned it off and would like to turn it back on, you'll want to take the following steps:

1. On the bottom left corner of your dashboard, navigate to the Account tab, then click Settings,

2. Click on Pre-Screener on the top menu, and

3. Click Turn On Auto Pre-Screener.


Customize your screening process with custom pre-screener questions.

Customizing your auto pre-screener questions allows you to add up to four custom questions. Leads will answer your custom questions with an open-ended text field.

To add custom questions to the pre-screener, you'll want to take the following steps:

1. On the bottom left of your Dashboard, navigate to the Account tab and click Settings.

2. Next, click on the Pre-Screener on the top navigation menu.

3. Within the Custom Pre-screener Questions, click Add Question

4. Once you've added your custom pre-screener question, click Save. If you need to add an additional custom question, click Save & Add Another.

You can preview the questions by clicking on Preview Pre-Screener to the right. This feature allows you to include up to four custom questions relevant to your property or screening criteria.

If you need to edit the custom question, click the Pencil icon. If you need to delete a custom question, click the Trashcan icon.
