How Does a Tenant Set up a Password for their TurboTenant Account?

Learn how a tenant or renter sets up a password for their rental portal on TurboTenant

There are a few ways for a Tenant to set up their password for their TurboTenant account!

Method 1: At the beginning of the application

Applicants will be prompted to create a password during the application process. On the first step of the application, they will receive the following prompt:

Method 2: Click "Didn't Set Your Password Yet" On the login page

Go to the renter login page, then click Didn't Set Your Password Yet? If this method does not work, ensure you are using the correct email address and link provided in your reset email. If issues persist, try clearing your browser's cache or using a different browser.

Enter the email address and click Send Link for an email to be sent to the email address.

Once the email is received, click on Reset My Password

Create the new password and click Change My Password to complete the process. A renter will be automatically logged into their account.

Method 3: Troubleshooting Password Issues

If you are having trouble and the standard setup methods do not work, try the following general troubleshooting steps:

  1. Check your Welcome Email: Locate the welcome email from TurboTenant with account setup instructions. Look in spam/junk folders if you cannot find it.

  2. Request a Password Reset: Use the Renter Login Page or the Reset Password page to reset your password.

  3. Resolve Common Errors: If you see an error such as "Invalid Credentials" or face challenges during setup, ensure you use the correct reset email link and clear browser cache, or check if the email address matches your TurboTenant account.
