How to Screen International Applicants with a PDF Application
If you have an applicant located outside of the United States, or they just moved to the United States, they may not be able to complete TurboTenant’s standard online rental application.
In these cases, you can use a downloadable PDF application to collect their information.
When should I use the PDF application?
Use the PDF application if your applicant:
Does not have a U.S. Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN)
Cannot complete identity verification
Is unable to complete the online application due to an international address

Send it to your applicant via email, text, or another method
The PDF application is not part of TurboTenant’s application flow and cannot be sent as an official application request.
How your applicant completes the application
The applicant downloads the PDF
They fill it out digitally or print and complete it
They save the completed file
How to receive the completed application
Once finished, the applicant can send the completed PDF back to you.
If you're communicating through TurboTenant:
The applicant can upload the completed file in the Messages tab
Remember, this is not an official application process. This is a workaround and does not include the background information. This is only so that you as a landlord can obtain information about the prospective applicant.
Important things to know
The PDF application is separate from TurboTenant’s online application
Application details will not automatically appear in your account
Screening reports (credit, background, eviction) are not included
You will need to review the application manually
