A guide on how to Access Your Screening Report & Obtain a Copy

How to View Your Screening Report

After you’ve submitted your rental application, you can view your screening report directly in your TurboTenant account, but before you can access it, there’s one important first step.

1. Contact TurboTenant Support

If you live outside of New York or California, please reach out to TurboTenant Support to request access to view your screening report. Our team will enable the report in your account so you can review it securely online.

Once Support confirms your access, follow the steps below:

Inaccurate or Incorrect Screening Results

Distinguishing Screening Provider Disputes vs. Credit Bureau Disputes

When disputing inaccuracies, it is important to identify whether the issue lies with the screening provider or a credit bureau (e.g., TransUnion, Experian). Screening providers handle disputes related to their reports, while credit bureaus address inaccuracies in credit data. TurboTenant can guide you on the appropriate steps for each scenario.

If you have any questions about the accuracy or completeness of the income verification information in your report, or if you believe a document was incorrectly evaluated, you will need to contact Snappt directly to dispute your results. TurboTenant does not make income verification or fraud determination decisions — those are made solely by Snappt. TurboTenant is not authorized to remove accurate derogatory information from a consumer file. Please note: Snappt will not disclose the specific reason a document failed — this is by policy. If your document was marked Insufficient, it means Snappt was unable to evaluate it (wrong document type or format), not that fraud was detected. Their contact information is provided below:

Once Snappt completes their reinvestigation, TurboTenant will receive the results and forward them to the landlord. The landlord — not Snappt and not TurboTenant — makes the final decision on whether to accept or deny an application. Allow 1 business day for initial acknowledgment and 1 additional business day after reinvestigation completes.

Consumer Summary of Rights

We want to make sure you are aware of your rights as a consumer when it comes to your screening report. That's why we have provided a link to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's summary of rights for identity theft victims. This document outlines your rights and what to do if you believe there is inaccurate information on your report. You can access the document here: https://files.consumerfinance.gov/f/documents/bcfp_consumer-identity-theft-rights-summary_2018-09.pdf

ICRAA Disclosure for California Applicants

The report does not guarantee the accuracy or truthfulness of the information as to the subject of the investigation, but only that it is accurately copied from public records, and information generated as a result of identity theft, including evidence of criminal activity, may be inaccurately associated with the consumer who is the subject of the report. An investigative consumer reporting agency shall provide a consumer seeking to obtain a copy of a report or making a request to review a file, a written notice in simple, plain English and Spanish setting forth the terms and conditions of his or her right to receive all disclosures, as provided in Section 1786.26.
