Why Customize Your Pre-Screener?

Available on the New Pro Plan, custom pre-screener questions give you more control over how you qualify renters before they apply.

Custom questions help you:

  • Quickly identify qualified leads

  • Save time during the screening process

  • Focus on renters who meet your specific criteria


How to Add Custom Questions

You can add up to four custom pre-screener questions, which renters will answer using an open-ended text field.

To set up your custom pre-screener questions take the following steps:

  1. Go to your Account tab

  2. Navigate to the Pre-Screener section

  3. Find Custom Pre-Screener Questions

  4. Enter your questions (up to 4)

  5. Save your changes


How to Edit a Custom Pre-Screener Question

Need to update a question? You can edit it at any time:

  1. Go to AccountPre-Screener

  2. Locate your existing question

  3. Click the pencil icon next to the question

  4. Make your changes

  5. Save


How to Delete a Custom Pre-Screener Question

If you no longer need a question, you can remove it:

  1. Go to AccountPre-Screener

  2. Find the question you want to remove

  3. Click the trash can icon next to the question

  4. Confirm deletion (if prompted)


What Renters See

When a lead submits an inquiry, they’ll be prompted to answer your custom questions along with the standard pre-screener. Their responses will appear with their lead details, helping you evaluate them faster.


Pro Plan Feature

Custom pre-screener questions are available exclusively on the Pro Plan.

Upgrading gives you more control over how you qualify renters and manage incoming leads.

A: No, your custom questions are added on top of the standard pre-screener.
