TurboTenant helps you keep tenant maintenance requests organized in one place. If you need to hire a professional to handle a repair, TurboTenant’s partnership with Thumbtack can help you quickly find local pros.
How maintenance requests work in TurboTenant
Your tenant submits a request through their Tenant Portal (Maintenance tab).
You get notified by email, and the request is saved in your TurboTenant Maintenance tab so you can review details and track progress.
You manage the request in TurboTenant, including updates and next steps, so everything stays organized in one place.
How the Thumbtack partnership fits in
When you’re ready to bring in help, TurboTenant gives you a way to access Thumbtack’s network of local service professionals and request quotes for the job.
Typical flow
Open the maintenance request in TurboTenant (Maintenance tab).
Choose the option to find a pro through Thumbtack (where available). TurboTenant helps you start that process based on the repair and location.
Review pros, ratings, and responses on Thumbtack and choose who you’d like to work with.
Coordinate the repair (scheduling, estimates, and service details). Communication with the pro typically happens through Thumbtack (and/or directly with the pro).
Keeping your tenant in the loop
TurboTenant is still the best place to manage the tenant side of the request—things like:
Updating the status
Messaging your tenant about scheduling and entry
Keeping notes and documentation tied to the request
Option: Send a work order to your own contractor
Already have a trusted vendor? You can send a work order from the maintenance request by entering your contractor’s email address.
Important limitations to know
Because Thumbtack is a partner marketplace (not a fully built-in maintenance system inside TurboTenant):
Updates don’t automatically sync back to TurboTenant. If you want your records to stay accurate, you’ll manually update the maintenance request in TurboTenant.
Vendor communication may happen outside TurboTenant. Thumbtack supports finding pros and communicating through their platform.
