You can find your tenant's Home Guide within the Leases section of your account by clicking on the Home Guide tab. Whenever you have an existing lease, you'll see the Home Guide tab in that lease.

Setting Up the Home Guide

Step 1: Go to your Leases tab and select the lease you want to set up your Home Guide for.

Step 2: Once you're in the lease summary page, click on the Home Guide tab.

Review the information in each section. You can also preview what the information will look like to your tenant when they view the Home Guide.

Step 3: Click on the pencil icon in any section to make edits. You can also hide and unhide sections at any time.

When you hide a section, your tenants will no longer see that section, even if you've already sent them the Home Guide.

💡 TurboTip: Your Home Guide will pull some information from the lease agreement you have in TurboTenant, so if you already see some sections filled out, this has come from your lease. You can still make any edits or updates to those sections.

Step 4: Once you're done reviewing and editing the Home Guide, share it with your tenants!

Select "Share with Tenants" in the upper right corner of the Home Guide. Clicking that will share the Home Guide with all of your tenants on the lease via email.

💡 TurboTip: If you haven't added tenants to your lease yet, you can do so by clicking on "Add Tenants To Share." Simply add your tenants, then when you go back to the Home Guide tab, you'll see the option to "Share With Tenants."

Once shared, you can also send them a personal message through TurboTenant to let them know you've sent it!

Sharing And Updating The Home Guide

Keep in mind that once you share the Home Guide, any edits you make will automatically be reflected for your tenants in their Home Guide. There is no need to re-share it, unless you want to let them know the changes have been made. Once you've shared the Home Guide, tenants do not receive a notification from TurboTenant that changes have been made to it.

Each lease has its own Home Guide, so you'll want to share a Home Guide for each lease. Sharing the Home Guide for one lease does not share the Home Guide for another lease, even if the lease is for the same property.
