Within your Settings tab, you'll be able to manage the following email notification preferences:

  • Messages from TurboTenant - These are reminders and automated messages from TurboTenant.

  • Rental Notifications - Includes messages about rental applications, screening reports, document signatures, and more. Be careful turning these off, as you can miss out on important messages.

  • Messages from the Landlord - Notifications for when a landlord sends you a message.

πŸ’‘ Notifications are sent via email unless otherwise noted. Please note: even if you turn off all notification categories, you will still receive important emails related to your account, security, payments, and billing.

Step 1:

Navigate to the Settings tab in the bottom left corner of your screen. At the bottom of your Account Information, you'll click Change Preferences to select which emails you no longer wish to receive.

Step 2:

Click Update Preferences when you are finished to save your updated settings.

πŸ’‘ Messages from the Landlord -

By default, your settings are turned on to receive Email & Text message notifications if you receive a message from your landlord and the message will contain a preview of the message. To email the landlord back, you'll want to log into your renter portal.

FAQs

Q: I am not receiving emails. What could be the issue?

A: There are several reasons why you may not be receiving emails. The most common reason is that notification preferences may be turned off. Please check to ensure your notification preferences are enabled. Another reason could be that our emails are being marked as spam. Lastly, if your inbox is full, that could also prevent you from receiving new messages. The landlord may have entered an incorrect email address, or if you applied, there may be a typo in your email.

Q: I no longer live at the rental property; I moved out. Why am I getting emails?

A: If you're getting payment notifications even though you're no longer living at the rental property or you've made other payment arrangements with the landlord, please contact the landlord directly. The only way for those charges to stop is if the landlord removes any recurring or unpaid charges from your lease profile in the software.

TurboTenant does not manage the rental properties. This is the software landlords use to manage their rentals. Only the landlord can modify rent charges to resolve this.
