Why am I still getting emails even though I am not a tenant?

When you are added as a tenant in the TurboTenant system, you are prompted to create an account where you can view all of the charges that the landlord sets up, receipts, maintenance requests, and documents.

When the lease term ends, and you move out, it is the landlord's responsibility to remove or archive the lease profile and expire or remove the charges associated with you. If they do not do this, you will still get the *payment reminder emails.

*The only way for those charges to stop is if the landlord removes any recurring, or unpaid charges from your lease profile.

Customer Support is unable to do this, you will need to contact the landlord directly to remove any outstanding charges.

If you are getting any other emails, you can turn off those notifications in your settings in your renter portal!

Here is how to do this:

First, you will need to log in to your Renter Portal.

Second, from your dashboard, you can select Settings:

Third, you can select Change Preferences:

Finally, you can toggle all of the options to "Off" to stop receiving notifications:

๐Ÿ’ก Notifications are sent via email unless otherwise noted. Please note: Even if you turn off all notification categories in the notification preferences, you will still receive important emails about your account, security payments, and billing. This includes rent payment notices. You cannot turn those off. Only the landlord can turn those off in their account by deleting the charge or recording a payment.
