Can I Hide the Street Number of My Property Address?

As of recent times, more and more of our third-party sites are requiring that the full address be present on the rental listings. Because of this, we do not offer the option to hide the street number.

Why is it no longer supported?

When marketing properties online, the full address for each property must be displayed.

Displaying the full property address ensures:

  1. Your property is listed on more property listing sites and displays correctly when you turn marketing on (e.g. when a map is present on the listing, it shows the correct location);

  2. Renters know it's a legitimate property and understand what area your property resides in so they can make an informed decision to reach out about the property

What can I do instead?

If you have any concerns about the implications of showing your full property address, here are a couple of actions you can take:

  • In the description of your property, mention that visits to your property are only allowed if the renter speaks with you first and schedules a specific time for the visit.

  • Provide clear pictures of each room in your property and a link with a video tour of the property to make it easier for renters to know if the property is a good fit for them before trying to come see it.
