How to Publish Your Property

Step 1: Click the Properties tab in the left-hand menu.

Step 2 - Click on the rental you would like to market online

Step 3: Open the Marketing Tab, then navigate to the Marketing tab and click Publish to the right.

💡 TurboTip: If you haven’t set up a listing page for your property yet, you’ll need to do that first before marketing can be published. You can see how to set up the listing page to turn marketing on for a rental here.

Step 4: Verify Your Phone Number

If you haven’t already verified your phone number, you’ll be prompted to do so. This is a key security step to help prevent fraud and protect both landlords and renters.

Once your number is verified and marketing is turned on, your listing will be published across dozens of popular rental listing sites.

Once you've entered the code to verify your phone number, your rental listing will be posted to the rental listing sites. Marketing Online will be automatically turned off after 30 days unless you renew or extend Marketing Online. So if you still need to fill your property by then, make sure to renew it! It’s always best to monitor your settings.

Note: Your listing will not be visible on 3rd party websites until about 24-48 hours after you turn on marketing in TurboTenant.

How to Extend the Marketing for Your Rental

To extend your rental’s marketing period for an additional 30 days.

  1. Navigate to the Properties tab and select the rental you'd like to extend (make sure the listing is currently published).

  2. Go to the Marketing tab for that property.

  3. Click the three vertical dots (⋮) to the right of "Deactivate".

  4. Select Extend Marketing from the dropdown menu.

Managing an expired listing

Marketing on TurboTenant is active for 30 days from the time you turn it on. If you don’t extend the listing, it will automatically expire after that period.

  1. Editing your listing with a new availability date. Refer to this guide for assistance: How do I edit my rental property listing?

  2. Publish your listing again!

How to know if your rental is published

You can confirm your listing is live by checking the status in the Properties tab. A blue banner will appear showing that marketing is active and when the listing will expire. If you do not see the blue banner, this typically indicates it is not published!
