TransUnion is able to generate a screening report if the applicant currently lives or has previously lived in the United States of America, and has a valid *ITIN (Individual Tax Identification Number) or SSN (Social Security Number).

*If the applicant has an ITIN when completing the identity verification step they will need to enter their ITIN in the SSN field.

TurboTips:

  • Having an ITIN does not guarantee that the renter will have any credit history on file.

  • TransUnion cannot run screening reports on individuals with a passport number at this time. They must have an ITIN (Individual Tax Identification Number) or SSN (Social Security Number).

  • International screening reports are not currently offered through TurboTenant.

If the applicant reports they are unable to complete the screening report, please click here for additional information.
