Autopilot Professional Photos & Listing Setup

How to prepare for Autopilot photos and listing setup.

Professional photography and listing setup are the first steps in launching your property with Autopilot.

Before We Schedule Photography

Your property must be rent-ready before we can take photos or activate showings.

Rent-ready means:

  • All repairs are completed

  • The home is clean and unfurnished

  • Utilities are on (if needed for lighting or access)

  • The property is ready for immediate move-in

Homes that are fully prepared, photograph better and lease faster.

Property Condition Standards

To ensure your listing stands out to renters, we recommend preparing the property with the following in mind.

Clean & Clear

  • Remove personal belongings

  • Remove all furniture

  • Clear countertops and floors

  • Empty garages and storage areas

  • Dispose of trash and debris

Flooring

  • Replace heavily worn carpet, or

  • Steam clean carpets in good condition

Paint

  • Fresh paint helps brighten photos and attract renters

Maintenance

View the property from a renter’s perspective. Address:

  • Broken fixtures

  • Dripping faucets

  • Damaged blinds

  • Loose hardware

  • Cosmetic wear that may deter applicants

The better the condition, the stronger the interest.

What Happens During the Photo Appointment

When your property is ready, Autopilot schedules a local professional photographer from our vetted partner network to visit the property.

These professionals are verified service partners who regularly work with rental listings, and each appointment is coordinated directly by the Autopilot team to ensure the property is accessed securely and photographed correctly.

During the visit, the photographer will:

  • Perform a walkthrough

  • Install a secure smart lockbox

  • Collect keys or access devices

If required for showings, a secure smart lockbox will also be installed or configured for the property.

Photography is typically scheduled within 24–48 hours of confirmation, and listings are published shortly after photos are complete.

Our team oversees the entire process and confirms the photos and setup before your listing goes live.

Information You’ll Provide During Intake

To prepare your listing, you’ll enter:

  • Rental price

  • Security deposit amount

  • Target move-in date

  • Lease term

  • Pet policy

  • Occupancy limits

  • Utilities (landlord-paid vs tenant-paid)

  • HOA requirements (if applicable)

  • Lockbox placement details

  • Surveillance disclosures (if cameras are present)

Accurate information helps us market your property correctly and avoid delays.

After Photos Are Taken

Once photos are complete:

  • Your listing is created and syndicated to major rental platforms

  • Showings are enabled

  • Inquiries and applicant communication are managed by Autopilot

You’ll be able to track activity directly in your TurboTenant dashboard.
