What Properties Are Eligible for Autopilot?

Learn more about what types of properties can be enrolled in Autopilot.

Autopilot is designed for long-term residential rental properties. Before enrolling, make sure your property meets the following eligibility requirements.

Eligible Property Types

Autopilot supports most standard residential rental properties, including:

  • Single-family homes

  • Townhomes

  • Condos

  • Small multi-family properties

If you own multiple units, each property can be enrolled separately. Discounted pricing may be available for owners with 10+ units.

Properties Must Be Long-Term Rentals

Autopilot is built for long-term leasing (typically 12-month leases).

Short-term rentals, vacation rentals, or nightly stays are not supported under the standard Autopilot program.

Property Condition Requirements

Your property must be rent-ready before we begin marketing and showings.

This means:

  • All repairs are completed

  • The property is clean and photo-ready

  • Utilities are on (if needed for showings)

  • The home is ready for immediate move-in

If the property is currently occupied, we can coordinate showings with scheduled availability. However, vacant and move-in ready homes typically lease faster.

Ownership & Authority Requirements

To enroll in Autopilot:

  • You must be the legal owner of the property or

  • You must have documented authority to act on the owner’s behalf

The property cannot be:

  • Listed for sale

  • Under contract with another property manager or brokerage

  • Subject to another exclusive listing agreement

You must have full legal authority to rent the property.

Furnished Properties

Autopilot is designed for unfurnished, long-term rentals. If the property is currently furnished:

  • It must be delivered vacant and cleared of personal belongings before tenant move-in

  • Unfurnished homes generally attract a broader tenant pool and lease faster

HOA & Access Requirements

If your property is located within an HOA or secured community:

  • HOA rules must allow rental activity

  • Lockbox placement must comply with HOA regulations

  • Required documents (CC&Rs, bylaws, parking rules) may need to be provided

We’ll collect these details during onboarding to ensure compliance.
