Why Clear Cache and Cookies?
Clearing your browser’s cache and cookies is often the first step when troubleshooting issues online.
Your browser uses a cache to save website files, so pages load faster the next time you visit. While this usually improves performance, it can sometimes cause problems - especially when a website has been updated. Saved files in your cache may conflict with the latest version of the site, leading to errors or unexpected behavior.
By clearing your cache and cookies, you’re making sure your browser is loading the most up-to-date version of the website. This helps confirm whether the issue is coming from the website itself, rather than outdated files stored on your device.
Keyboard Shortcut for Most Browsers
If you are using Internet Explorer, Edge, Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox, you can quickly clear the cache with a keyboard shortcut. While in your browser, press Ctrl + Shift + Delete simultaneously on the keyboard to open the appropriate window.
IMPORTANT: Be sure to close/quit the browser, then restart it after clearing the cache and cookies.
