In Colorado, Oregon, and Florida the Zillow Group charges landlords to post their properties on Zillow, Trulia, and Hotpads. Don't worry, you are NOT required to post on these listing sites. You can still utilize TurboTenant's free marketing services and post on dozens of the other top rental listing websites.
If your rental is not in Colorado, Oregon, or Florida you will NOT be charged to post on Zillow, Trulia, and Hotpads. Your property will automatically be posted to those sites for free when you turn on marketing.
NOTE: DE, IL, NC, NH, SC, & TN will start charging for Zillow Marketing starting February 1st.
Should I pay to use Zillow Marketing?
If you'd like to extend your reach and get more leads, then paying to post on Zillow, Trulia, and Hotpads might be a good idea. On average, our landlords who are on Zillow get almost 2x as many leads.
But remember you are NOT required to post on the Zillow Group's listing sites. Our free marketing is the industry leader! You can post on dozens of other listing websites for free in a single click.
How to Pay to Post on Zillow, Trulia, and Hotpads
When you create your rental property in Colorado, Oregon, or Florida and turn on marketing, we will ask you if you'd also like to post to Zillow, Trulia, and Hotpads. If you click the button to pay, you will be prompted to enter a credit card if you don't already have one on file.
You can also turn on marketing through Zillow by going to the "Marketing Tab" on the Manage Property Page. Free Marketing must be turned on first to turn on Zillow Marketing.
Extending Your Posting on Zillow
You pay for a set time period to have your property listing live on the Zillow sites. Once that set time period passes, your property will be removed from Zillow, Trulia, and Hotpads. You will need to make another payment to extend Zillow Marketing and post your property back on the Zillow listing sites.
To extend your Zillow Marketing, go to the "Marketing Tab" on the Manage Property page.
Automatically Extending Zillow Marketing
You can turn on auto-extend if you don't wish to manually extend Zillow Marketing each cycle. How? When you turn on Zillow Marketing we will ask you if you want to turn on auto-extend as well.
When auto-extend is turned on, your card on file will be automatically charged each cycle. We will send you an email reminder 3 days before your card is charged. You will be able to turn off Zillow Marketing at any time. Once turned off, your card will not be automatically charged for the next cycle.
How to Stop Marketing on Zillow
You can stop marketing on Zillow at any time, and we will remove your property from Zillow, Trulia, and Hotpads. However, the fee is non-refundable. You will not be credited back for any days that you don't use. If you stop marketing on Zillow but then turn it back on, you will not need to pay the Zillow fee again as long as the initial time period you purchased has not ended.
To turn off Zillow Marketing, go to the "Marketing Tab" on the Manage Property page.
