How do I screen an applicant through TurboTenant?

Have an applicant that you'd like to screen with TurboTenant? Great! It's easy to get started, and we'll tell you everything you need to know.

Screening reports are tied to an applicant's online application. If you've already signed up for TurboTenant, here's how to screen an applicant:

 

Step 1 - Login

Login to your Turbo Tenant account.

 

Step 2 - Add your property in TurboTenant

Add your property on the properties page.

 

Step 3 - Start Accepting Applications

Once you have the property added, you can start Accepting Applications. 

 

 

 

Step 4 - Invite the prospect to apply or share your link.

We will create you a specific link where the tenant can apply and you'll also be able to invite them to apply by email or text message.

Step 5 - View your applications

As soon as you receive an application, we will notify your via email and you can review the application and request a screening report. You can login to TurboTenant and review your applications on the Applicants page.

 

 

Step 6 - Request a screening report

When viewing the application, simply click "Request Screening Report." 

 

Step 7 - The applicant authorizes the report and verifies their identity

When you request the applicant's screening report an authorization and verification email will be automatically generated to the tenant (at the email address they provided in the application).  

The applicant will need to authorize to allow you to view their credit report and answer a few auto-generated identity verification questions provided by TransUnion (the credit bureau used). For more information on why we do this, take a look at this article.

 

As soon as they authorize the report you will be notified and you can log in to TurboTenant to review their screening report.
