Why can't applicants use the same email address on the application?

At the top of the tenant application, applicants will see the following message:

 

 

Explanation

TransUnion, the service that we use for tenant screening reports, links each individual to their report by their email address. Therefore, the same email address cannot be used for two different applicants.

What if my tenants used the same email address on the application?

When two applicants use the same email address, one tenant will be able to complete the tenant screening authorization and verification. The other tenant can re-apply using a different email address.

The landlord will request a new screening report and the tenant will complete the screening report authorization and verification.

Once the landlord has received the screening report, the tenant who re-applied can contact us at support@turbotenant.com. We are happy to process a refund on duplicate application fees.
